2. Know when to expect bills.
3. Keep personal information in a safe place.
4. Only provide account numbers in person.
5. Review your credit report from each of the three reporting agencies at least annually.If you are a victim:
1. Report the incident to the police and your bank(s).
2. Visit www.consumer.gov/idtheft. While there, report the incident with the Federal Trade Commission.
3. Contact the three Credit Bureaus.

Many families request financial assistance, especially during the holiday season and cold weather. In addition, many people may be unable to pay their bills because of some other life situation.
